Cling to the Stronger Man

But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil.

Luke 11:20-22

Jesus Christ is the stronger man. Christ and satan are not equals with each other in strength.

Remember this when all the devils in hell show up at your doorstep, trying to get back in.

Remember that Christ living in you is the stronger man,

and you just hold tight to him, cling to him in your mind – your imagination. Cling to him in your soul. Cling to him in your spirit.

Physically go somewhere else and posture yourself in solitude and cling to him.

Cling to him in prayer and intercession,

in proclaiming his glory out loud,

proclaiming his word out loud and meditating on the Gospels and his glory until you know it – until you know that Christ is the stronger and the better man,

and the tears run down at the thought of your longing for Christ,

tears run down at the thought of why haven’t you been clinging to him on the daily.

Hold tight to him and don’t leave your place of pursuit until you know that he is the stronger man,

and you know it.

God, let me know you always as the stronger man,

and let me really know it.

Amen.
